Top three tourist spots in France

I studied French during my first year of university, but I can’t speak French. It is very difficult for me to understand French, because French has feminine nouns and masculine nouns. However, I want to go to France, because France is attractive for me. There are beautiful spots in France. I will introduce the top three tourist spots in France which I want to go.

No.1 spot is Mont-Saint Michel. I want to go there very much, because it is similar to Miyajima. They are islands floating on the ocean, so Normandy is a sister city of Hatsukaichi. Mont-Saint Michel is a beautiful and magical island. There are cloister, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Mont-Saint Michel has traces of the middle ages, so I recommend there the best.

No.2 spot is the Eiffel Tower. I want to go there, because it is the symbol of Paris. The Eiffel Tower is 324m and built for Paris Expo in 1889. The Eiffel Tower is wave tower, also representative of Paris monument. It is referred to as “Lady of Iron”, and we can enjoy a splendid view of Paris. At night, the Eiffel Tower will be illuminated from sunset to 12 p.m.

No.3 spot is Champs-Elysees. I want to go there, because I can enjoy shopping. There are restaurants, cafés, movie theaters, and show houses. The place which I want to go the most is Louis Vuitton shop. I like Louis Vuitton, so I want to go there and enjoy shopping. If I am tired during shopping, I can get rest at a café. Champs-Elysees is a one-stop street.

If I go to France, I want to go to these 3 spots. Now, I write my graduation thesis about French, so I am interested in France. Japanese think that France is very fashionable, so many Japanese women have Louis Vuitton bags. In Japanese, there are many French words, such as cafe au lait, éclair, crayon, and so on. Surprisingly, Japan has familiarity with France. I like France very much, and a trip to France is my dream.

Hello Kitty vs. Minnie Mouse

Japanese women love characters, such as Disney characters, Sanrio characters, and so on. They are very cute, so they receive many people’s love. I think that Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty are very popular with the Japanese ladies. I will introduce them.

I know many show business people who love Hello Kitty. In Japan, Ayumi Hamasaki (age: 32), Nozomi Tsuji (age: 24) and Momiji Yamamura (age: 50) like Hello Kitty very much. Hello Kitty is popular with Japanese women at any age. In America, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus like Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty is popular with mainly singers in America. In contrast, I don’t know show business people who love Minnie Mouse. I think people love not so much Minnie Mouse as the whole of the Disney Characters.

We can buy Hello Kitty’s goods or Minnie Mouse’s goods at shops, also we can shop on web sites. Sanrio Web Store has 1953 Hello Kitty’s items, but Disney Web Store has only 176 Minnie Mouse’s items. Minnie Mouse’s goods are pouches, cell-phone straps, bags, towels, stationeries, stuffed toys, and so on. Hello Kitty’s goods are car items, appliances, fashion items, bags, kitchen items, accessories, interior accessories, travel items, and so on. Hello Kitty’s goods have anything, so we can fill the room with Hello Kitty.

There are Tokyo Disney Land (TDL) and Tokyo Disney Sea (TDS) in Japan. We can enjoy attractions, souvenirs, parades. Everyone who lives in Japan has heard of TDL and TDS. They are very popular theme parks and many people visit there every year. In Japan, there are Sanrio theme parks which are Harmony Land (in Oita) and Puro Land (in Tokyo). We can enjoy attractions, souvenirs, parades in common with TDL and TDS. However, they are unknown to many people, because Sanrio characters not involving Hello Kitty are not popular.

Which characters do you like best? I prefer Hello Kitty to Minnie Mouse, because Hello Kitty is a smart dresser and very cute. I think that Hello Kitty is revered around the world for its cuteness. I’m happy because Japanese-born Hello Kitty is popular with not only Japanese but also foreign people.
