Top three tourist spots in France

I studied French during my first year of university, but I can’t speak French. It is very difficult for me to understand French, because French has feminine nouns and masculine nouns. However, I want to go to France, because France is attractive for me. There are beautiful spots in France. I will introduce the top three tourist spots in France which I want to go.

No.1 spot is Mont-Saint Michel. I want to go there very much, because it is similar to Miyajima. They are islands floating on the ocean, so Normandy is a sister city of Hatsukaichi. Mont-Saint Michel is a beautiful and magical island. There are cloister, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Mont-Saint Michel has traces of the middle ages, so I recommend there the best.

No.2 spot is the Eiffel Tower. I want to go there, because it is the symbol of Paris. The Eiffel Tower is 324m and built for Paris Expo in 1889. The Eiffel Tower is wave tower, also representative of Paris monument. It is referred to as “Lady of Iron”, and we can enjoy a splendid view of Paris. At night, the Eiffel Tower will be illuminated from sunset to 12 p.m.

No.3 spot is Champs-Elysees. I want to go there, because I can enjoy shopping. There are restaurants, cafés, movie theaters, and show houses. The place which I want to go the most is Louis Vuitton shop. I like Louis Vuitton, so I want to go there and enjoy shopping. If I am tired during shopping, I can get rest at a café. Champs-Elysees is a one-stop street.

If I go to France, I want to go to these 3 spots. Now, I write my graduation thesis about French, so I am interested in France. Japanese think that France is very fashionable, so many Japanese women have Louis Vuitton bags. In Japanese, there are many French words, such as cafe au lait, éclair, crayon, and so on. Surprisingly, Japan has familiarity with France. I like France very much, and a trip to France is my dream.

Hello Kitty vs. Minnie Mouse

Japanese women love characters, such as Disney characters, Sanrio characters, and so on. They are very cute, so they receive many people’s love. I think that Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty are very popular with the Japanese ladies. I will introduce them.

I know many show business people who love Hello Kitty. In Japan, Ayumi Hamasaki (age: 32), Nozomi Tsuji (age: 24) and Momiji Yamamura (age: 50) like Hello Kitty very much. Hello Kitty is popular with Japanese women at any age. In America, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus like Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty is popular with mainly singers in America. In contrast, I don’t know show business people who love Minnie Mouse. I think people love not so much Minnie Mouse as the whole of the Disney Characters.

We can buy Hello Kitty’s goods or Minnie Mouse’s goods at shops, also we can shop on web sites. Sanrio Web Store has 1953 Hello Kitty’s items, but Disney Web Store has only 176 Minnie Mouse’s items. Minnie Mouse’s goods are pouches, cell-phone straps, bags, towels, stationeries, stuffed toys, and so on. Hello Kitty’s goods are car items, appliances, fashion items, bags, kitchen items, accessories, interior accessories, travel items, and so on. Hello Kitty’s goods have anything, so we can fill the room with Hello Kitty.

There are Tokyo Disney Land (TDL) and Tokyo Disney Sea (TDS) in Japan. We can enjoy attractions, souvenirs, parades. Everyone who lives in Japan has heard of TDL and TDS. They are very popular theme parks and many people visit there every year. In Japan, there are Sanrio theme parks which are Harmony Land (in Oita) and Puro Land (in Tokyo). We can enjoy attractions, souvenirs, parades in common with TDL and TDS. However, they are unknown to many people, because Sanrio characters not involving Hello Kitty are not popular.

Which characters do you like best? I prefer Hello Kitty to Minnie Mouse, because Hello Kitty is a smart dresser and very cute. I think that Hello Kitty is revered around the world for its cuteness. I’m happy because Japanese-born Hello Kitty is popular with not only Japanese but also foreign people.

Top 3 songs of Ayumi Hamasaki

Ayumi Hamasaki is my favorite singer. She has greatly influenced many young Japanese girls. Her songs cheer up many people, her concerts are very exciting, and she is representative fashion leader of Japan. She won many prizes, such as Japan Record Award, Japan Gold Disc Award, World Music Award, Japan’s Best Dresser Award, Best Jeanist Award, and Nail Queen Award. I love her songs very much, so I will introduce you to her top 3 songs.

No.1 song is evolution. This song was released in 2001. I listened to this song and became a fan. I like the words to this song, which is “by your own standard”. Through singing, she tells us judge things by your standard. I think that we should make a choice by preference. She may want to give young girls life lesson through this song.

No.2 song is MY ALL. This song is on GUILTY which was released in 2008. This song is about dearest love. In this song, she sings that “I want you to keep dream alive, I want to protect you, I want to see your smile, and I fell your selfless love”. I think that dearest love is not so much her lovers as her fans. She may tells fans “I will continue to sing for you” through this song.

No.3 song is Love song. This song is on Love songs which was released recently. I listened to this song and felt the strength of her. I was moved by the words to this song. She continues to come under heavy attack from people who dislike her, and she is hearing impaired in her left ear. I think that she gets sadness in her heart. However, she continues to sing without quitting. I love this song because this song tells me importance of intensity of will.

I am an enthusiast of her, and I learned a lot from her songs. Her songs told me judging things by my standard, importance of friends and family, strengthening my resolve, and so on. I went to her “Power of music” concert in May 7th, and I felt power of songs and fabulousness of music. She said to us “Let’s make Japan energetic by music” in her concert. She wants to cheer up victims of eastern Japan earthquake by her songs. If you take an interest in her, please listen to her songs.

My favorite movie

My favorite movie is The Day After Tomorrow. The actors are Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ian Holm, and Emmy Rossum. The director is Roland Emmerich. This movie was released in 2004. This movie is about global warming. In Tokyo, hailstones as big as golf ball fell. Los Angeles took a direct hit from huge tornadoes. New York was ravaged by torrential rains and tsunami. Then, the earth appeared to be in an ice age.

This movie represents love. My favorite characters are Sam and Jack. Jack is Sam’s father, so he left for New York due to rescue his son. On his way to New York, he lost his colleague, and his colleague said to Jack “Don’t give up!” before he passed away. His words made Jack feel that he must rescue his son, so he reached New York and met his son. I think Jack loves not only Sam but also his colleague. If the earth appeared to be in an ice age, everyone wants to escape from their country with their family, friends, and lovers.

Tokyo appears in this movie, but it is not real Tokyo. There are many signs in Tokyo, but signs are written in Chinese. This movie represents Tokyo which is far from modern. I wanted the director of this movie to come to Tokyo before he produced this movie. Also, I wanted Japanese actor to play the part of an office worker.

There are many realistic portrayals in this movie, such as hailstones, tornadoes, torrential rains, and tsunami. I think that there is a high possibility of unusual weather because of global warming. This movie makes everyone ponder over global warming and unusual weather. If we watch this movie, we may try to limit emissions of carbon dioxide.

I like this movie, because this movie aroused my interest in environment problems. I stopped letting the water run, when I wash my face. I began to treasure resources after I watched this movie. This movie tells us “people can’t beat nature”. We should get along with nature for living on the earth. I think that we have to give environment problems more careful consideration.

My favorite place

My favorite place is Tokyo Disney Land, because TDL is the land of dreams. I can forget my daily work and troubles. I have visited there three times, but I would like to visit there as many times as possible. I will introduce you to the charm of TDL.

There are many characters in TDL, for example, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh. My favorite character is Minnie Mouse, because she wears cute clothes. We can meet characters in TDL, so we should watch parades and go to character’s houses. If we can meet characters, we can shake hands and take photos together.

TDL has many attractions. I will introduce Haunted Mansion which is my favorite attraction. There are 999 ghosts in Haunted Mansion. As the Disney web site says, “They would like to meet us and make their number an even 1000.” In Haunted Mansion, we go on the ride, and we make a round of mansion. We can meet many ghosts, but it is not scary.

In TDL, we can enjoy buying many souvenirs. TDL has 48 souvenir shops, so I will introduce some shops. My favorite shops are World Bazaar Confectionery, House of Greetings, and Frontier Woodcraft. World Bazaar Confectionery is the shop which sells cookies, candies, and snacks. They are in Disney character designed boxes. We can buy many stationery goods in House of Greetings. For example, ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils, and pen cases. I remember a memory of a pleasant trip when I used stationery goods. In Frontier Woodcraft, we can get leather straps and bracelets. Shop assistants carve our name in them. Many people buy them for mementos of their trip.

I think characters, attractions, and souvenirs are the charm of TDL. If you visit TDL, please watch parades, ride many attractions, and buy many souvenirs. If you do these, you can enjoy TDL. I hope you enjoy your trip.
